New dispersed accommodation

During 16 days of Activism, our Sussex team will be working hard to bring more accommodation-based services into action. These homes offer dispersed accommodation to people who need to escape domestic abuse.
In October, we were happy to welcome our first guests to stay in newly acquired accommodation.

This forms part of our journey helping them move past their experiences of domestic abuse. After lots of unpacking, building and double checking we had finally set up the new home. And it was delightful!

During November and December, we’re opening more dispersed accommodation to help keep people safe. We’re really proud to have been awarded this opportunity by West Sussex County Council. We’ll continue to work hard to ensure a safe and suitable space is ready for people who are homeless as a result of domestic abuse.

We have been lucky to work alongside some amazing organisations. They are always striving to assist people impacted by domestic abuse are accessing and receiving the best support available.

From the very first meeting with Louise, she made me feel safe and heard. Louise has been there for me every step of the way. She’s made this very difficult time that bit easier. She helped me get settled into the safe accommodation. The YOU trust thought of every essential that I could possibly need. I am so grateful for all the support I am receiving from Louise and the YOU trust.
