PARAGON awarded Integrated Domestic Abuse Service

PARAGON has been awarded the Integrated Domestic Abuse Service in Dorset. This means we’ll deliver the Integrated Domestic Abuse Service (IDAS) from 1 April this year.

The service encompasses:

  • Single point of contact (SPOC) for a 24-hour helpline and service triage
  • Community-based offer (medium risk outreach support) including community engagement
  • Diverse safe accommodation service to support adults and children
  • Specialist housing advice
  • Prevention – recovery and therapeutic support and counselling
  • Safeguarding families together

This allows us to continue our partnership with Dorset City Council in delivering crucial support for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. We look forward to building and developing our work across Dorset. This includes Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, where our colleagues also operate.

The team, led by Jayne Hardy, Assistant Director for PARAGON, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment. To both high standards of work on accreditations, and by actively listening to service users. This dedication has guaranteed that our teams deliver exceptional support.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the team for their hard work under the guidance of their new manager, Ginty. This gives us the opportunity to showcase and demonstrate our dedication to positive outcomes for victims of domestic abuse.

Hayley Connor, YOU Group CEO, said:

I am pleased that we will continue to work in partnership with the Council to deliver these important services to communities in Dorset. We are unwavering in our resolve to stop the harm caused by domestic abuse and to support those impacted by it.
