Values

As a specialist domestic abuse team, we have developed our values over many years of working with, and alongside victims of domestic violence and abuse. We believe these values represent who we are as a team.

Female led

Domestic violence and abuse is a gendered issue, mainly perpetrated by men on women and our workforce and interventions reflect this. We are female led and our services are mainly focussed on supporting women. Our interventions are built for women by women.

Collaboration

Our work is directly influced by the people we have worked with for many years. Their experiences and feedback has helped shape our approach and this led us to develop specific interventions for male victims of domestic violence and abuse.

Excellence

We strive to be the best we can be in all that we do, recognising that people deserve nothing less from us. We are committed to ensuring all our staff are trained and our mandatory training means each member of staff works to a high standard of competence.

Violence against women and girls (VAWG)

We are committed to working within Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) core standards with a focus on the gendered nature of violence and abuse.

Safety as central

The safety of the people we work with is paramount and our work is to reduce risk and increase safety

Inclusivity

Whilst we have our foundations in working with women, we understand that domestic abuse happens to anyone, regardless of gender, and are inclusive and work with each person as individuals, valuing their life experiences and know that we are all affected differently.
