Let’s talk about consent!

When supporting young people with understanding healthy relationships, sessions and discussions about consent are important. It offers a safe space with support workers to ask questions they may have felt uncomfortable asking previously.

Helping a young person gain a full understanding of what consent looks, sounds and feels like is important. It empowers them to decide what should and should not happen during sexual intimacy.

When it comes to sex, consent is everything!

We use our own resources from the years of experience we have of working directly with young people. And we promote and use the PausePlayStop.org.uk website. It’s a campaign organised by Somerset and Avon Sexual Assault Service (SARSAS) aimed at supporting understanding around consent through. It uses information, facts about the law and quizzes to educate.

We also use the ‘Cup of Tea’ consent short video which is a clever, yet simple and very effective way, to discuss and understand consent for all ages.

If you haven’t seen it yourself give it a watch and please share with others!
